Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. The couple was moved to Oxfordshire when she was five where she attended at the Dragon School. From the age of six Emma knew she was going to become an actor and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned singing dancing and acting. As part of a school production and a Stagecoach Production, Emma was the lead at the age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie version of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time in 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma via her Oxford theatre instructor. After eight consistent auditions director David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast as the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's debut film came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The highest-grossing movie of 2001 The film broke records for its debut day opening and its opening weekend earnings. Critics have praised both the film as well as the performance of the three principal young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma was later awarded five prizes to honor her role in the movie.
